Junkers F13 at Bulolo. The crowd are seeing one of the locals off on leave. They flew from Bulolo to Lae and caught a ship to Australia via either Rabaul or Port Moresby.

Junkers W34 (F13 on floats) VH-UNM on the crane at Lae. This was the first aircraft to bring the mail to New Guinea. Here it belonged to Carpenters which was one of Guinea Airways competitors. Behind it is the Avro 10 that belonged to Charles Ulm.
