A series of pictures showing the Sopwith Snipe from Stow Maries, seen here at Old Warden and Duxford. This aeroplane is an exact reproduction of the original, built by The Vintage Aviator Ltd. in New Zealand. Every component from the engine to instruments and airframe is a mix of restored original parts and new exact copies of the original. The Sopwith Snipe was a single seat fighting scout aeroplane used by the Royal Air Force towards the end of the First World War and into the 1920s.
